Our Story
I’m Sarah, the founder of Layinne. I’m a mom to two kids and I designed Layinne to be the brand I wish I’d had when I was first building a baby registry. I want to help simplify building your baby’s first wardrobe and reduce the environmental impact of fast fashion and overconsumption along the way.
Honoring the Lying-In with our voice and our products
Layinne is a play on the words, layette - a baby’s first wardrobe, and lying-in - the early postpartum time dedicated to resting, healing, and bonding with a new baby. Layinne is a brand that honors the lying-in, in its many forms, and I’m so excited to launch with our signature newborn sets, designed especially for this unique time.

A commitment to reducing waste
Despite what many blogs and baby guides will tell you, you really only need a very small newborn wardrobe. In fact, with babies sleeping around the clock and growing so fast, stocking up on several weeks worth of outfits before your baby is born often results in easily avoidable waste or items that end up with very high cost per wear.
